il fait bon vivre

the family in this documentary is an aquaintance of ours (their daughter is the same age as lucas, and goes to preschool with him). they have an amazing story, really worth watching.

i saw a desire to live, and a family & community who would stop at nothing to help him. it is really striking to meet him today, to see him playing music up on stage as if nothing ever happened. to know what he and his family really went through, im incredulous, really... thought it was worth sharing.

to, two, whatever

yesterday we had an appointment down in harvard sq. so afterwards we walked over to ph's lab to pick him up at the end of the day.

today ruby said "we have to go to papa's work"
i said, "but we went to his work yesterday, we don't go every day!"
R: "but we have to go to his OTHER work"
Me: "papa doesnt have another work"
R: "yes he does! papa has two works... 'papa is going two work'!"
(just like we say every morning when hes on his way out the door)
