since we were invited to one of ph's coworkers family&friend dinner on xmas day we did our xmas stuff on the 24th after ph made pancakes for breakfast.. it was fun and took forever. lucas enjoyed it too. he got a bunch of stuff, but heres the highlights: the pop-up trucks book from granny brannon, the FP 'little people' school bus and the radio flyer 'tiny trike' from us.

so we're really enjoying this week off work for ph. i went to see the dresden dolls cabaret act called the onion cellar this last weekend, and it was really good. the audience was a bit stiff.. but i guess thats par for the course on the 2pm weekend matinee.

new years eve were planning on going to this big festival in downtown boston with ice sculptures and performances and whatever else. i'll make sure and bring the camera.

new years day we're gonna rent a car and go driving somewhere - wherever our noses take us.. and despite the very nice weather (40F/6C degrees and mostly clear) weve been having so far.. i hear there may be COLD weather with snow coming on new years eve.

i got 7 weeks left and i'm feeling all the wicked little secrets of pregnancy... it just seems like there is a new small discomfort every day now. but its all okay... at least its been relatively easy up til this final trimester..

hey - come on christmas vacation!!! i feel like a kid this year. i cant wait to see lucas open all our presents. and i wish i didnt get heartburn so durn easily when im preggy...oh well, cant do much about it.

whew! what m i still doing up? it's NINE A CLOCK! heheh. gonna go read up on "freakonomics" until i pass out - which will be in about 12 minutes.

we're enjoying my dad's visit... trying to get our xmas wrapping in... thinking about the new baby coming in 2 months... just finished our xmas cards... ph very busy at work these days.
