counting the days
ph just turned 40! and so we went out for a night on the town to celebrate. we for a very fancy dinner and a short walk to the oldest street in boston to a little out-of-the-way cozy bar, where there was happily a basketball game on tv, and slowly poured guinness. we had fun chatting with some locals & saw some fireworks - it seemed so random, and so lucky for us.. since fireworks seem to be a recurring theme in our relationship ;)
speaking of counting, lucas can now count to 9 by himself. im so proud. !!!
and he's now potty training. he took the initiative a few days ago by saying he wanted to wear big-boy underpants, so here we are, doing it. he's even gone one full day without an accident! as a way to keep his motivation up, he has a sticker chart with a picture of a particular truck or digger he's working toward. but with the first full day out of diapers i feel like we can officially say, "he's trained", and is now just working out the details of how to be consistently dry.

happy birthday! ph.
I like the fireworks one! good old times on allen parkway.
sounds like a lot of fun
Wow... Happy Birthday again to Ph - I wonder what being 40 feels like? LOL
And about Lucas... isn't it interesting what a change that one little shift in perception makes? He's no longer a toddler in potty training; he's a pre-schooler who has accidents once in a while. I like it.
Reminds me of the time I shifted my attitude and became a domestic goddess instead of "just a housewife" !! LOL
Hope your bottom side is better, and hope you'll be able to sit long enough to post some new photos and videos soon...hint hint.
